JOHN H. STANLEY. J.D.
Mr. Stanley has recently
retired as the chief legal advisor for Pathfinder Insurance Training.
His responsibilities included maintaining compliance with the
various state departments of insurance as well as safeguarding the
company’s intellectual property.
John was also the Creative
Director for Pathfinder. In this capacity, he served as the senior
advisory on all editorial projects. He is the author and co-author
of several Pathfinder publications, and is the “voice” on the
audio and online teaching tools.

Professional Experience
Mr. Stanley is licensed to
practice law in the State of Indiana, and is admitted to practice in
the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, and
the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.
He has participated in
many seminars and convention programs, specializing in the subjects
of tort and insurance law. He is a nationally recognized lecturer on
the subject of business and professional ethics and is a certified
Insurance Instructor in both Indiana and Michigan
Mr. Stanley served as the
Master Commissioner of the Marion County Municipal Court, Criminal
Division, from 1982 through 1989. In this capacity, he sat as a
trial judge on misdemeanor and felony cases. During this time he was
also a special consultant to the Governor’s Task Force to Reduce
Drunk Driving.
Prior to this appointment,
John served as legal counsel to the Marion County Sheriff’s
Department. He has also participated as an instructor in the trail
advocacy program at the Indiana University School of Law,
Indianapolis.
