WILLIAM H. CUMMINGS, MBA

William H. Cummings graduated from Deerfield Academy, Deerfield, MA and earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brown University in Providence, RI. He attended Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI and spent four years in the U.S. Navy as Deck Officer on a destroyer in the Atlantic Fleet. He earned an MBA degree in Finance and Marketing from Columbia School of Business in NYC. Upon graduation he joined General Foods Corporation as Product Manager in advertising, promotion and new product development. Bill’s love for the sea also inspired him to explore new marina development on Long Island, NY and Miami, Florida.

Aviation is Bill’s favorite hobby with 25 years as a private pilot.  He still flies his small plane coast to coast but finds time to enjoy fishing, sailboat racing and cruising.

Mr. Cummings is President, Director and co-founder of Pathfinder Insurance Training and Publishing, the leading insurance licensing training school in the Mid West.  Founded in 1976, Pathfinder has assisted hundreds of thousands of new insurance agents in obtaining their Life & Health, Property & Casualty and Securities licenses over the years.

Pathfinder writes the premiere textbooks for L&H and P&C license training which are used by other licensing schools across the U.S. Pathfinder also developed a wide range of training aids, including thousands of visual aids, CD audio tapes, CD-ROM interactive computer based programs, videos, “train-the trainer” programs, teacher’s guides, test quizzing programs and numerous State Law digests.

Pathfinder consults for major insurance companies on recruiting and licensing of new agent producers in the Life Insurance and Property and Casualty business. The company’s specialty is effectively teaching complicated subjects with humor and creativity. The results are happy students who enjoy the Pathfinder learning experience and pass licensing exams with a minimum of stress, time and effort.  Pathfinder has grown from classroom instruction to a training business specializing in unique materials and instruction geared for rapid success in insurance sales.
